Are you already trading into your 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒍 account or you're still in process of learning and trading with your 𝒗𝒊𝒓𝒕𝒖𝒂𝒍 account?
When I started trading, I also started trading with a virtual account but I noticed that I'm not taking it seriously. The process of learning is slow since I'm just trading with virtual money. So I decided to switch to my real account and see if my skills are already enough to trade real money.
The real game starts here. Trading your real money includes emotions that cannot be experienced in virtual trading.
Your number one enemy will be your emotions, once you see that your portfolio is in negative, frustration will set in. And once your position have 30-50% gains, greed comes in.
You want to earn more and in the end, it goes down to only 10% gains. You will feel regret not taking the 30%+ gains.
From here, I learned that having a plan before entering a trade is really important.
You must accept the fact that there will always be two possibilities either your WIN OR LOSE.
Trading is a game of probabilities, for us to able to win we need to accept that we can also lose. But if we have proper risk management we can reduce the money that we are losing. It's normal to lose in trading. We simply cannot avoid it.
I prefer trading my real account while learning and I don't recommend it to everyone but it helps me improve and get used to any kind of emotions while trading.
When do you plan to trade your real account?
